All our candles contain soy wax. Once poured, soy wax can set leaving a ‘rough’ look on the surface of the candle. This is not a flaw or defect - it is completely natural for soy wax to have this appearance even after it has been lit and cooled.
Once lit, leave the candle to burn forming a wax pool; this will help to prevent ‘tunnelling’.
Trim wick during burning to help prevent 'mushrooming' of the tip; this occurs because the wicks are not synthetic but cotton. Also, trim wick approx 1cm prior to re-lighting.
If your candle burns unevenly check that the wick is in an upright position.
Extinguish your candle by pushing the wick into its own wax pool or with a candle snuffer as this will help prevent smoke.
Once you have enjoyed the ambience of your candle and all the wax has melted, simply scrape out the remainder and place a tea light candle inside to reuse your stunning mosaic jar. |
